I stopped at WOOL AND THE GANG tonight, and yes, I learned how to knit. . . amazing. Its not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. Crazy to think I was crocheting on the way to the shop, and then switched over to knitting while there. I haven't started any formal knitting projects yet. I think it'll take more time for me to freestyle executions as clearly as I can with crocheting.
I would like to put another shout out to the lovely people at Wool and The Gang. Tonight, Isabelle was a wonderfully patient instructor. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. I can't wait to go back next Sunday.

My dear friend C and I were finally able to stop at WOOL AND THE GANG new storefront, located only a few blocks down from work. The girl working was so genuinely sweet, I was virtually spellbound when she suggested we come back on Sunday for a Free Knitting Workshop, they have them everyday! For anyone who knows me, I've been crocheting since my Nana first taught me a long time ago, so to break the mentality of using only one needle will be difficult. . .but I'm willing to give it a try. And if for some reason I just can't do it, I'll just bring a crochet needle and buy some of their wool.
For anyone living or visiting the NYC area, you must stop by at 98 Thompson Street if not to buy quality wool products (they have amazing knit kits), then at least to say hello to the lovely people that work there.

Last night was the Amanda Blank show at Le Poisson Rouge. The cold rainy weather had me down yesterday, but DG1 convinced me we should go, and I'm so glad he did. Ms. Blank was on fire, and Spank Rock was there too.
