The official video for Empire State of Mind, directed by Hype Williams syncs up a montage of photos to the beat while illustrating the lyrics of the song.
This song will never cease to give me goosebumps. While out on Saturday night, we first heard it while walking down the street to the subway and a car driving by had it blasting out the windows. Next we heard it at The Stanton Social, while eating dinner. And we were graced with the track one more time while out dancing later that night. No matter where and/or when, I hear this song, and I remember how blessed I am to be able to live here.
I don't even know what to say, you just really have to watch the video.
AND. . .be sure to watch it all the way through, because the last minute of it really makes it a Spike Jonze film. Please feel welcome to leave comments, I would, but I'm kinda speechless right now.
She's a little booty girl. . .saucy with a twist, if you bossy do it like this. . .
Yes. More Thunderheist for your viewing pleasure. I can't wait for them to stop through New York for a show. In the meantime, enjoy this latest video for Little Booty Girl. I love the styling for Isis. There's something about the simplicity of some booty cutoffs (with gold spandex underneath), a padded cap sleeve tee and gold chain.
I was recently graced with the Thunderheist album. . .hit me up in the comments if your ears need some pleasure.
Yes. Thunderheist. I downloaded this video a long long while ago, but never thought twice to look up Thunderheist for more tracks. But I finally have and DAMN, I can't get enough. I'll be posting more goodness from them soon. Jump for more info & the mp3 »
This post was originally showcasing the 9-11 performance but taken down due to rights issues.
Here's the MTV VMA performace with Alicia Keys performing alongside Jay-Z.
I dare you not to have chills while watching this.
The background lights of the city is breathtaking.
I can't say it enough, I fucking love New York.
Just the inspiration I was in need of, Wooster Collective just posted some lost footage of Picasso painting. I'm including Painting as one of my must-dos doing my "staycation" in BK this month. . . there's alot of things on that list right now, and one of them might just be a PRIMAMAG facelift.
stay tuned. . .
Two extremely talented people creating an extraordinarily passionate composition of music.
Lily Allen's video for "22" showcases the two sides of the glam nightlife. It is portrayed through a beautifully styled Lily wearing a gorgeous backless gown, sharp haircut, and stunning makeup. I love the rich, yet muted tones used in the other girls clothing, hair and makeup. I also particularly love the lighting when the stranger grabs her hand and dances with her around the vacant bathroom. The entire video has a certain haziness that resinates true to those nights out in the city that you vaguely remember the next morning, but can't remember if you really danced in a vacant bathroom, or just dreamed it. . .
